Retired US service member – service to country introduced me to the world of travel. The call to duty took me abroad. My love for native flavors similar to the diverse cultures of New Orleans would dictate my personal travel itineraries as I longed for the spices of home. My military service would take me to journeys around the globe where I could experience authentic French, Creole, Caribbean or Czech cuisine. My palate would be regularly satiated as I would soon be immersed in world travel working in direct support to two United States Presidents going to such places as New Zealand, China, Russia, Canada, Africa, Italy, Mexico and Belgium to name a few. I frequently globe-trotted abroad and close to three-quarters of the US staying at the family-ran motel to the five-star rated luxury hotel befitting Presidents and dignitaries. Always at the ready to grab a boarding pass and stamp my passport — have destination, will travel.
My business travels were contagious as I was infected with the travel bug. An avid researcher and bargain hunter I got extremely good at booking the best deals for myself over the years, so I decided I should do this for others. My journey to becoming a travel agent was reinforced after socializing with other couples traveling; discovering I consistently put together the best deals in comparison to the others, no matter where my travels took me.
